1. About these terms

This website is run by the 1840s General Store & Bakery, 2524 County Road 29, Pakenham, Ontario K0A 2X0 ("we", "us"). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What's on the site

We try to keep hours, products and descriptions up to date, but things change in a working store. The daily specials change, baked goods sell out, and prices move with our costs. The site is a general guide; for anything you are driving out for, call us first at 613-624-2022.

3. Orders from our online store

Our online store runs on Shopify. When you place an order there, the prices, taxes, shipping charges and policies shown at checkout apply to that order. All items are subject to availability. If we cannot fill an order, we will contact you and refund what you paid for the items we could not supply.

4. Our words and pictures

The text, photographs and the store's sign and name on this site belong to us or are used with permission. Please do not copy them for commercial use without asking. Some historical items and photographs in the store are on loan from their owners and remain theirs.

5. Links to other sites

We link to other sites, such as Shopify, Facebook, maps and our neighbours. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

6. Liability

The site is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss that comes from using the site or relying on its content. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under Ontario consumer protection law.
